11th October 2018
A very exciting launch day kicked off our School Excellence Fund project. The day was full of activity and experimentation and enjoyed by all! Bhí lá foghlama agus gníomhartha taitneamhach, spleodrach agus tairbheach don mhór oscailt thionscnamh.
Digital learning, student voice and active participation were promoted, valued and celebrated. The Transition Year students on the Digital Excellence Team, Cairdeas, in CBS Thurles were actively involved in leading learning on the day. It was a proud day for the secondary school and the students' leadership was exemplary!
Devyn Olsen-Sawyer from WeCreate Work space in Cloughjordan attended our launch and inspired our students with his presentation and Michael Mccarthy of Elite Drones provided such fun and excitement with his amazing drones. GoWriggle and Lennox Laboratories also supported us and facilitated engaging workshops for our primary school pupils.
The interest and enthusiasm shared by the primary and post-primary teachers involved in the project is fantastic and we are looking forward to the evolution of the project over the next three years.
